| About
MORTECH: I live in a recently built home in the Franklin Ponds area of picturesque Cambridge , Ontario with my lovely wife Angela and 3 children ; Robbie (15), Olivia (13) and Madelynn (12). The Franklin Ponds neighbourhood is very picturesque and in the winter, when the pond freezes over, the kids have lots of fun skating on it. I am 44 years young and have been playing around with computers since I was a teenager. I started MORTECH Computers as a hobby about 14 years ago to help friends, family, neighbours etc with their computers, but I have since closed the company and am concentrating more on my full time position as a footwear developer and national sales agent for a development and importing company in Canada. I am also an avid movie buff with over 1,000 DVD titles in our family library. I am therefore also very interested in Home theater and can be considered as somewhat of an audio/ videophile. Trivia is also an interest... my wife always says I am a wealth of otherwise useless information. I used to ski a lot, but age and 2 bad knees (ACL injuries) have taken its toll, so now I relax by playing 2 of the greatest games ever invented, billiards and golf, although I am not so good at the later! I guess I just need to practice more. I stay fairly active by walking & cycling and recently started my own weight loss and exercise routine to lose the few pounds that age has given me and to try and at least maintain some sort of fitness regime. I now maintain this website as a means to communicate with friends, family and acquaintances alike. You will find pictures of our home, projects I have taken on, personal interests of mine and pictures of our children as they grow up as well as some of the more interesting vacations we have taken. I am still very interested in computers and still do all the maintenance for our family network myself. Each of the kids now have their own systems and they are each involved with their computers with varying degrees of interest. Many people ask me how I got the name for my company. Thanks to some brainstorming with my friend Rick, we came up with a lot of ideas... The answer lies in the first sentence of my "bio" above and the 3 people I hold dearest to my heart, (aside from Angie of course). Taking the first initial of each of our 3 children; Madelynn, Olivia, Robbie and adding the suffix "tech" to it- very simple.
